BARALABA PRIVATE CLINIC’S  MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to provide the highest standard of patient care whilst incorporating a holistic approach toward diagnosis and management of illness. This Practice is committed to promoting health, wellbeing and disease prevention to all patients. This Practice does not discriminate in the provision of excellent care and aim to treat all patients with dignity and respect.

Appointments

Appointments are made at 15 minute intervals. If you feel you need more time with the Doctor, please let our reception staff know when making your appointment. Appointments can also be made online via our website: http://www.baralabaprivateclinic.com.au/. Longer consultations may be required for: Procedures (excisions, sunspot removals etc.), Multiple or Complex concerns, Completion of forms or Mental Health Issues and counselling sessions.

Results

Appointments need to be scheduled at the practice with the doctor to discuss / obtain your results (pathology, ultrasounds/x-rays and specialist report). Reception staff cannot discuss specific results with you. Please take your ultrasound/x-ray with you when you leave the practice. You may need these for future appointments with other doctors / specialist to help with your health care.

AFTER HOURS CARE

If you require medical care outside of the normal practice hours or the practice happens to be closed due to unforeseen circumstances, please call Baralaba Hospital on 4998 2800. In an Emergency call 000.

SPECIALISTS

The practice works closely with both public and private specialist services and can arrange referrals or consultations using tele-health to reduce the need for patients to travel. The practice is also working towards visiting specialist services.

HOME VISITS

Home visits are available for patients who are unable to travel to the practice due to ill health and are provided at the discretion of the doctor. If you need a home visit please discuss with the reception staff.

CTG (CLOSING THE GAP)

Baralaba Private Clinic is now signing up Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander patients for the Indigenous Health Incentive and Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme co-payment measure. This will provide better management for your Chronic Disease or Chronic Disease Risk Factors.

Outreach Clinic Wowan – Tuesday & Thursday – 1.30 pm – 4.30 pm (Closed Saturday)

DOCTORS

Dr Joshua Wee is committed to providing excellent primary health care services for the community, as well as emergency and inpatient services through the Baralaba Hospital.  The Doctor also attends to clinics at Wowan/Dululu Multi-Purpose Centre Railway Avenue, Wowan on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
